A Christmas Message

Good evening to you all.

As I write to you tonight I would imagine most of you will have already immersed yourselves in the festivities and officially begun the countdown to Christmas, but I wanted to express heartfelt thanks to you all, on behalf of myself and my co-Directors, for your unrelenting efforts again this year, and of course to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Undoubtedly 2021 has been immensely challenging with countless hurdles placed before us, but nonetheless we have made it through to the end of the year relatively unscathed and I do believe the more adversity we face the more galvanised we become. We conclude the year safe in the knowledge that we remain one of Kent’s largest contractors with a formidable team and as one of the most respected and admired businesses in our industry and our county, and for this we must all take great pride.

I know the vast majority of you were personally visited by the trio of Jenner Elves earlier this month who worked incredibly hard to deliver a little festive cheer to you all, with personally-selected and hand-packed hampers which I do hope will be thoroughly enjoyed if they haven’t been already. Christmas banners are up across many of our sites spreading festive goodwill to the public and we will be making a charitable contribution to ‘Donations with a Difference’ to give something back to our local community this festive season. Our December Newsletter will also reach you all by the end of the year and which is packed with lots of project and people-focused news, and bids a fond farewell to two highly-respected members of our team Paddy O’Sullivan and Max Woolford who depart from us this month after many years of loyal service and who will be greatly missed. Please do make sure you have a read of this before we head into 2022.

Let us hope that the nervously awaited post-Christmas directive from Government does not inhibit us too much and allows us a positive start to the year ahead, whilst doing all we can to overcome the virus and its many variants. Whatever the restrictions imposed upon us please do continue to stay alert and act responsibly, to do everything you can to protect yourselves and others.

That’s all from me for now, other than to wish you and your families a restful and enjoyable Christmas one more time and I hope you make the most of a well-earned and very much needed break as we shutdown the office and all our sites for the festive period before our return to work on 4th January.

Kind regards

Martin Sandall
