Following the government’s recent confirmation that the next phase of the easing of lockdown restrictions will go ahead as planned from today (Monday 17th May) there are many changes ahead for us all, and as such we have taken this opportunity to review our own COVID-19 enhanced procedures.
Throughout the pandemic we have fully adhered to government directive and have been guided by the advice issued from the health authorities and the Construction Leadership Council, to ensure we have operated in the safest possible manner, doing everything within our power to keep you all safe and well. Having assessed the latest changes implemented, my Co-Directors and I have agreed that face coverings will no longer be a mandatory requirement within the office or on our construction sites. This decision has been carefully considered and we do hope you will agree this feels the appropriate time to make this small relaxation in our enhanced safety measures. We understand that some of you may wish to continue wearing a face covering within your working environment for your own peace of mind and we leave it to your own personal preference if you wish to do so. Naturally this change will be kept under close review and the return of face coverings may be reimplemented at short notice should the guidance change due to the spread or emergence of new variants.
All other safety guidelines will remain in place at this point in time including daily temperature monitoring, social distancing and heightened hygiene and cleaning measures albeit these may well be reviewed shortly, and we continue to actively encourage self-testing.
A reminder of the guidance for this latest stage of our exit from lockdown can be found via the link below and I would encourage you to all please take a moment to remind yourselves of this latest ruling to ensure we can all stay safe whilst enjoying further elements of freedom and normality.
Thank you all once again for your ongoing patience, understanding and compliance with our enhanced procedures and for your continued positivity, enthusiasm and hard-work to keep us moving forwards. As always the Directors and I remain on hand if you have any concerns or questions at this time and in light of this change and please do continue to remain vigilant in order to stay safe.
