Dear all,

Further to an extraordinary meeting of the board of directors convened earlier this evening following the latest announcement by the Prime Minister advising on the current government COVID-19 policy, and having discussed the information provided and deciphered the intent of the announcement, we consider it is certain we will have to cease construction operations in the very near future.

However, following the subsequent guidance issued by Robert Jenrick, Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Governments, his advice is that “if you are working on site you can continue to do so. But follow Public Health England guidance on social distancing” He adds “Outside of work, remember to stay home and save lives” Accordingly, sites will remain open until further and absolute clarity can be sought. Would all team leaders please communicate this directive to the subcontractors and supply chain partners.

The office will also remain open tomorrow, again to allow staff access to collect any files, laptops and the like to facilitate working from home over the forthcoming weeks. However, it is intended the office will close tomorrow afternoon, and all office staff will work from home but remain accessible. Directors will also be available tomorrow should anyone wish to discuss any aspect of the decision.

We are also pleased to confirm that March salaries will be unaffected, and will be paid this week in the normal way.

It is expected that everyone who is able to continue to work from home should do so in order to support the site teams whilst the sites remain operational, and that design development on future schemes should continue to progress at pace.

On behalf of myself and the directors, stay safe and well, and I look forward to the opportunity to push on with our live projects for as long as we are practicably able to.

Kind regards,

Martin Sandall Managing Director
