COVID-19 Staff Update 2 - Imposed School Closures

Dear all,

Further to the recent government-led decision to close all local schools as of tomorrow afternoon (Friday) with the aim of reducing further spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we would ask that you continue to employ a pragmatic approach to allow us to continue to remain operational as a business.

The welfare of you and your families remains our utmost priority and we will endeavour to be as flexible and understanding as possible to ease the situation.

If over the coming weeks you experience, or are likely to experience, difficulties in managing care of your children we would ask that you speak with your line manager immediately to determine the best route forwards.

Options are being proactively explored to help everyone to manage what is an unprecedented situation with no definitive timescales. Guidelines are changing day-by-day and so we will continue to monitor the situation and adapt accordingly.

In the meantime we would ask that you work together within your teams to ‘juggle’ the times when you will be absent from work to ensure we retain a sufficient workforce, as far as possible. This is particularly important for site based teams to ensure we have adequate cover so that our projects continue to run efficiently but most importantly, safely, at all times.
