Good afternoon to you all.
Once again we find ourselves nearing the weekend and another week in lock-down completed. I do hope you are all continuing to keep well and busy and using the time wisely to spend quality time with your families and using our new ‘norms of communication’ to keep in touch with wider friends and family.
Following on from yesterday’s announcement to continue lock-down measures for a further three weeks I hope you will all continue to remain positive and appreciate the part you are playing in protecting yourselves, your families and our vital NHS resources.
Naturally, this means that furlough status will continue at this time whilst the main office and our sites remain closed. Behind the scenes the Directors and COVID-19 support team are now working hard to ensure we have all the guidelines, policies and procedures in place to allow us to plan our return to construction activity, which we hope will be in the next few weeks in a phased manner. We cannot be sure at this time exactly when this will be as we are assessing each and every site individually in terms of safety and supply chain – both in terms of material supplies and sub-contractor availability. As we find our way forwards we will be in contact with you again to keep you informed. This is likely to happen prior to the end of this current period of lock-down, but this remains consistent with government guidance for construction to continue in the best interests of society and economy. Once again I assure you this will not be at the cost of anyone’s safety which remains our utmost priority.
In the meantime, whilst we have kept your little people entertained with our drawing competition (and thank you to all those who have entered so far, please do keep them coming) we have set ourselves a new challenge, which I hope many of you will engage in.
To keep active and raise funds for NHS charities, and to show our support and appreciation of all those on the frontline in the fight to overcome this pandemic, we are delighted to introduce ‘Team Jenner run 1000 miles for the NHS’ ♥🌈
The challenge is to collectively run 1000 miles during this 3 week lock-down whilst asking family, friends and business stakeholders to support our efforts with a charitable donation. All you have to do is get running as part of your daily exercise allowance. I stress that this must be in adherence to government guidelines to stay close to home, observe social distancing and keep within the suggested one hour time limit. Any miles you run should be sent to Ella ella@jenner-group.co.uk who will keep a log and update our total on a weekly basis within our Friday update and via Facebook and Twitter.
If you would like to participate please let Ella know and feel free to send our fundraising page to your contacts to help us raise money:
Please do get involved if you can and continue to stay safe, well and happy.
Kind regards
Martin
