In response to the latest government guidance (implemented at the end of February) in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the subsequent easing of previously imposed restrictions, I feel that some clarity is required from a business perspective, to ensure we continue to act responsibly and move forward with clear intent surrounding our safety processes and procedures.

Whilst there is no longer a legal requirement for those with coronavirus to self-isolate I would like to reiterate the importance of adopting a common sense approach in this regard. It is imperative we continue to act with due consideration for the welfare of others to keep everyone safe and well and so that we can continue to operate productively with minimal future disruption. Sites will continue to operate in accordance with the latest version of CLC Guidance (Version 9.1) and which can be viewed within the COVID-19 section of our website https://www.jenner-group.co.uk/about-us/covid-19-information

The Directors would therefore ask that if you do test positive for coronavirus that you follow public health advice and stay at home and avoid contact with others. Please do not attend your place of work, whether the main office or site and isolate for 5 days. You can return to work prior to this following two negative lateral flows tests and after 10 days regardless. Please keep your Line Manager informed at all times and ensure test evidence is provided to our HR Manager Emily Barnes.

If you do come into contact with a confirmed case you do not need to self-isolate but would encourage you to proceed with caution and test accordingly, especially if you develop symptoms.

At this time we will be removing the mandatory requirement for temperature checking upon arrival each day but would again encourage you to exercise a degree of caution and check your temperature if you do feel unwell.

Whilst we must continue to press ahead and regain a level of normality, every little action that can be taken helps to reduce risk to others and prevent the onward spread of infection and will ensure business as normal in the long term.

Many thanks, as always for your ongoing cooperation and patience.

Kind regards, Martin Sandall
