Good evening to you all.
As August, and the school holidays conclude, and we welcome in the Autumn, it certainly feels a good time to be writing to you all once again and I do hope you have all managed to make the most of the summer despite the rather questionable weather. Whilst many aspects of normal life have been restored I would imagine the vast majority of holiday’s will have been local ‘staycations’ given the continued risks surrounding foreign travel, but I am sure we are all most grateful for the greater degree of freedom we now have and I hope you have all had the chance to take a well-earned break.
It has certainly been another very busy month and the outlook ahead shows no signs of relenting, which offers great hope for continued post-pandemic recovery. Whilst we are able to operate with a good degree of momentum and it does seem very much ‘business as usual’ we must remember that COVID-risks are still prevalent and a threat to us all having experienced recent confirmed cases on some of our sites. As such, it is imperative that we remain alert and cautious and I firmly commend the actions of all those involved in dealing with the confirmed cases and whose efficient actions ensured the safety and wellbeing of all present.
Whilst it is incredibly encouraging to see diminishing reports of COVID amidst the media it is of course most troubling to witness the ongoing devastation in Afghanistan that now dominates our screens and our thoughts naturally go out to all those attempting to find safety and we wish all UK nationals a safe return home.
Our monthly ‘August’ newsletter is enclosed to keep you updated and informed of all company news and it gives me great pleasure to see the immense positivity, both personally and professionally and the strong team ethos that resides at the heart of Jenner. As a business, we continue to be challenged by current industry shortages and delays throughout our supply-chain and with material costs continuing to spiral to eye-watering levels we undoubtedly have tough times ahead. Nonetheless, and owing immeasurably to the exceptional team we have in place, I remain confident that we are in a better position than many and strong enough to continue to weather the storm.
That’s all from me for another month. I do hope you are still continuing to enjoy the updates and please do remember to send in your news so this can be shared with your colleagues. Myself and my co-Directors are always on hand should you need us.
Kind regards Martin Sandall
