Good Evening to you all.

Without wishing to sound like a broken record, where the hell has another month gone? Summer seems to be flying past and with the promised easing of all restrictions earlier this month life really does feel as if we are edging back to some form of normality. It certainly has been a very busy month, with The Open Golf Championship coming to Kent and the return of wider gatherings and functions it has been great to be able to entertain and interact with our clients and consultants in person once again and which we undoubtedly took for granted 18 months ago.

With positive media reports this week that COVID infections are down for a seventh day in succession and by a third on last week’s statistics alongside governmental statements that the UK “could be over the worst by Autumn” let us remain hopeful that the tireless mass efforts, restricted living and safeguarding measures are beginning to have the desired effect

There is even a rumour that we are poised to reopen our borders and allow international travel for the fully-vaccinated which could prove a significant boost to tourism and ultimately the economy which again is most positive to hear. At this time we, as a business, continue to closely follow guidance issued by the CLC and our safety advisors, and urge you all to remain vigilant and cautious and please do continue to act as you feel comfortable in terms of the use of face coverings and distancing which is now a matter of personal preference.

Our monthly ‘July’ newsletter is below for your leisurely perusal to keep you informed and is again brimming with good news both personally and professionally, which is always heartening to read. Please do keep your updates coming by sending these to our marketing team if you wish to share your news with your colleagues and which I do feel remains so important until we can get back to gathering together properly in due course. As always, the Directors and I are always on hand if you wish to discuss any matters of concern or if you have any further questions at this time whether COVID-related or other.

That’s all from me for today. Do continue to enjoy the Summer, make sure you take a break to relax and recharge and whilst it may not be quite the August of foreign travel as we would have liked, it will certainly be far better than last year and now with renewed hope and optimism for the future.

Kind Regards Martin Sandall
