new team member: Kelly Challis

My name is Kelly Challis and I am the new Bid and Marketing Co-Ordinator at Jenner (Contractors) Limited. I will be working with Ella Brocklebank and Dean Elvidge within the Front-of-House Team.

I have worked in the construction industry for the last 5 years at a company called DCB (Kent) Limited based in Sittingbourne. I undertook a very similar role there, working in the Business Development team writing bids, carrying out various marketing functions (PR, website, social media and events) and supporting the achievement of the company’s accreditations. Just recently I have been very fortunate to have some time off in-between jobs which has made me realise more than anything how much I have missed work and being part of a team (basically not doing housework)!

I live in Rainham (about an hour away) with my husband and two teenage daughters. I’d like to say I have a variety of different hobbies and interests, but the truth is having two teenage daughters is a full- time hobby itself. When I’m not taxiing them around, I enjoy spending time with friends and family (eating and drinking), I love the theatre and I’m also pretty good at shopping and spending money (another reason for the return to work). For ‘sport’ I’m one of those women often seen walking (known as chatting) a few miles in the evening. I am really excited to start my new role here at Jenner. I’ve had a tour of the building, met my new colleagues and am delighted that everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I look forward to working with you all.
