There is nothing quite like climbing a tower crane to stretch the legs out the day after running a marathon, according to Site Manager Steve Chambers and who confessed his legs weren’t feel too bad and perhaps he should have tried harder!

All joking aside, our congratulations are sent to Steve who completed the TCS London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April raising money for St Christopher’s Hospice who cared for his mum in her final days before she sadly passed away from Leukaemia five years ago. This made it a very personal crusade and an emotional day for Steve in honouring his mums memory and his fundraising page remains open for donations if you haven’t yet sponsored his efforts and would like to:

Please do give generously to help this remarkable hospice to continue to care for others.

A note from Steve himself: “It was such a fantastic day, full of all sorts of emotions and it was amazing to be part of the World’s best marathon. It was tough as one would expect, especially at my age and emotional due to the cause I was raising money for…and four hours is a long time to think about things and people! Thank you for everyone’s support”
