♥🌈💙WE DID IT!!!!! ♥🌈💙

A massive WELL DONE to our amazing team of 39 runners* who fully embraced our running challenge set out on 18th April, to log 1000 miles within the 23 day extended lock-down period, in honour of all our remarkable NHS workers.

It was hugely encouraging to see so many get actively involved and I’m delighted to report that not only did we achieve this, we smashed our target with an amazing 1098.01 miles logged raising £1700 for NHS Charities.

However….we didn’t want to just stop there!! With government guidance continuing to keep us working remotely and many of our staff remaining furloughed as we slowly phase back to full operation, we wanted to ensure we all remain as active as possible for the huge benefits this brings to both our physical and mental health!!

So we are delighted to introduce our next challenge, which we do hope will engage with even more of you this time around!!!

THE TEAM JENNER (VIRTUAL) ROADTRIP!

We would love you to RUN, WALK or CYCLE (even swim if you’re lucky enough to have a pool at home or can brave the sea) and send your mileage to me to log in the usual manner. At the point that our last member of staff is un-furloughed, signifying another step closer to strength and productivity, we will total up all the miles and announce which country in the world our cumulative miles have taken us to!! 🌍

As previously stated, it does not matter how far or how fast, every single mile counts and virtual/indoor miles will also be included if you are exercising on a peloton or treadmill! We will add in the above 1098 miles as well as the many walking and cycling miles that I have been sent by others over the past few weeks so we are off to a good start and certainly outside the UK!!!!

NOW….Let’s think big… Let’s think VEGAS!!!! 😉

The challenge begins today (Monday 11th May) so please do get out there and get active (or course remaining safe and socially distanced) and as always your families are very warmly welcomed to join the team!!!!
